Excess drawings.

Here are some of the drawings I have done for the print/poster and card designs for the Dress for Excess exhibition at the Royal Pavilion. The final design decisions haven't been made yet so I'm unsure if these particular drawings will be used or not, but they are ones I particularly like.

I went to the Saatchi gallery recently, here are a couple of artists/works that I really liked. The first is Ximena Garrido-Lecca's 'The Followers' - an installation on a large wall in the gallery. This piece is a reproduction of a South American burial wall. I like it because it combines a lot of themes I find interesting, inspiring and try to include in my work - beauty, death, religion and family...

The second is Mustafa Hulusi's 'Exstacy Almond Blossom' pair of works. I love the amazing contrast between the two sides of each piece - abstract/figurative, this is heightened when you see them in person due to the large size.

Dress for Excess

I am currently working on some photos/drawings for the Royal Pavilion shop based on the current exhibition 'Dress for Excess' inside the Pavilion itself (Exhibition link). Here are some photos...
